My Philosophy

If you could have the perfect body, but it required you to run 5 miles every 4 hours every single day, would you do it?

And I’m not talking about in a hypothetical world where you have no other obligations or responsibilities to worry about, I’m talking about in the life you’re living, with your job and your kids and families and house and everything else.  Would you do it?

Could you do it?

Chances are you wouldn’t, because it’s not practical.  Not a lot of bosses would give you an hour every four hours to go for a run and come back to work sweaty.  Every appointment you have would be scheduled around it, every meal, every activity, your entire life would revolve around that one thing.  You would grow tired of it immediately.

This is the reality for a lot of canker sore treatments I see out there.  Rinse your mouth with Milk of Magnesia every hour.  Reapply medicine every hour and right after meals. Don’t eat tomatoes, chocolate, coffee, any kind of grain, salt, or water.

COULD you do these things?  Sure, but what kind of life is that?

Even if you don’t ever have another canker sore, your life is still revolving around them.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m going to try all of these solutions and see how they work because that’s the purpose of this website, but as I go into my reviews of products, a big part of my analysis will be regarding practicality.  If it works but I wound up spending half of my day tending to it to make it work, it won’t get a great review from me.  If it makes a difference while not hindering my quality of life, I’ll laud praise on it.

Because let’s face it, that’s what it’s all about – quality of life.  Eating what you want, living normally.  That’s why I tend to gravitate toward supplements.  Pop a few pills a day and be done with it…  If they work.

Because it shouldn’t be painful to be pain-free.
