Happy Labor Day Everyone!

I don’t know where the rest of you live, but I live in Texas, and it looks like the heat finally broke.  I’m sitting outside for the first time in months enjoying the weather as I write this and it’s pretty darn sweet.  Best Labor Day ever.

So there’s a little bit of news to pass along about the goings-on of the blog I wanted to let all of you know about.  If you’re a follower of the blog (and really, why wouldn’t you be?), we’re having a slight change in location.  I’m moving the site from a WordPress.com blog over to a self-hosted site, so instead of the address being www.cankerboy.wordpress.com, it will from here on out simply be this:

www.cankerboy.com

Bad Boys

“This sh*t just got real.”

Right now, it’s exactly the same as this site, but we’re moving so we can undergo some serious changes, like a new layout, new features, links to products, and much more.

It’s also going to make the site more search-friendly and bring on bigger audiences.  The nerds out there may know it as SEO.  I’m learning this as I go along.

I plan to forward this address to the new one so even if you’re bookmarked you won’t miss a beat.  But as I said, I’m learning here, so it may take a day or two.

Anyway, forgive the construction work, but it’ll result in a bigger, better Cankerboy.

Just some of the things you have to look forward to on Cankerboy.com is interviews with doctors and oral health experts, guest posts, videos, maybe even some podcasts, and the big daddy of them all – an ebook that’s in the works as we speak.  It’ll be THE definitive book of canker sore knowledge on the internet, with information you won’t find anywhere else.

And if you want first crack at it, subscribe to Cankerboy.com and the first 20 subscribers will get a preview copy for FREE!

Thank you all for being a part of this blog, I’ve really enjoyed running it and I’m excited about what’s coming up!  Have a great Labor Day!

I subscribed to your feed through Google reader. That’s where I have all my feeds. I don’t know why I would want to read a book about canker sores. Not really my “genre”, lol. But because it’s coming from you, I am morbidly curious. I’m hoping for a comedy!

Well, if you don’t get canker sores, consider yourself one of the lucky 80% of people out there who don’t. So you probably wouldn’t get as much out of the ebook as, say, someone who goes days without eating because of them.

Having said that, I’ll have all kinds of funny bits in there, mostly because I just can’t help myself.

I will say don’t wait for the movie version of the ebook. No canker sore feature film is in the works around here. 🙂

See, I wasn’t sure if this was all leading to a comedy of some sort or if it was meant to be a collection of medical anecdotes with real information for sufferers. But hey, at least you’re doing something positive out of all the pain you endure. Good luck!
